It’s been a slow month for shows. Holiday business and travel are to blame.

I’m currently in Greensboro, NC visiting friends and family for the holidays and am working on an all Polaroid series of portraits and other pictures documenting my time here. I’ll have, at some point in the near future a book available via the web for purchase of this series. I may also do a book of my best 2009 show photos, a year in review sort of thing if you will. Look out for updates about that.
So, I’ve neglected Bummer City for a while, lets fix that. Since shooting the last Have Heart show, I’ve covered a bunch of shows… here’s some of the highlights:
Ghastly City Sleep

Shook Ones

A Loss for Words

Ramming Speed

Wolf Whistle

Defeater

Narrows

Cave In

In other news I have a new, additional website up and running, ReidHaithcock.com which will serve as a kind of portfolio for my professional work as well as personal projects, and as a place to collect my best film work.
Speaking of film, I’ve recently gotten a hold of some new film cameras, namely a Nikon F3 35mm (which I’ve yet to get anything developed from, so we’ll all have to wait on those) and a Polaroid 600SE, which is a giant monster of a camera, but man, does it ever make some nice photos. I’ll have examples posted in the future, and added to ReidHaithcock.com, but for now, here are some samples:

On Edge Day 2009, Have Heart played their final show at Club Lido, in Revere, MA.
Along with some great locals, In My Eyes played a “set” of Sweet Pete and some dudes.

Bane ruled

Have Heart played one of their best, most emotional sets I’ve ever seen.

All in all a great night, they’ll be missed.
Also, be sure to pick up Living Hell’s new record “Oblivion” it’s got my photos featured in the layout. Shit rules, get into it.
So I shot my first wedding, which I’ll make a separate post about soon, but here’s a couple of 6×7 shots I got during the course of then night.

A recent 645 shot that I was struck by

Have Heart played their final two shows on the 16th and 17th. Here’s a shot from the night of the 16th at Anchors Up! in Haverhill, MA. I’ll make a new post featuring a full overview of their final show.

I’ve been rather busy!
I shot the Great America Hardcore Fest last weekend. Here’s a highlight shot from day 3 of the band Guns Up!

I shot Converge last night at the University of New Hampshire in a crazy student center room. Kinda strange, but it was a lot of fun!

I’ve been talking lots of polaroids with my Mamiya rb67 lately. I found a cool dog, a cool fence, and some cool chicks. If you do happen to see this, ladies, thanks for posing! Get at me soon!

This is me, and my porch.

I’m also splitting my focus between two sites now. I’ll continue Bummer City for my music, promo, and design work and I’ll have another site for my Film, Fine art, and Portraits/Weddings that will function as a portfolio site to show to clients or potential models. I’ll make a post about it when I have it ready to go. In the mean time, look at that dog!
So it’s been a while since I’ve updated with some non-music photos, so have at ‘em
A couple of Digital shots:

Some new Mamiya 645 120 film shots

Friends from North Carolina came up to Manchester, New Hampshire this past sunday on their way to meet up with a tour through Canada and back through the states. It was great to hang out and sell merch to goofy kids.

So The Suicide File played last night at the ICC church in Allston, MA. Since they ended full time activities in 2003, they’ve played a reunion tour in Europe in 2006 (I flew to London to see them play since I was already in Spain at the time) and a handful of shows in the states. Needless to say, when you get a chance to see them play, you jump on it.

I’m currently working on a new layout for the Bummer City myspace. Here’s the current mock up idea. I’m going to start figuring out the CSS with my friend Justin, the yellow shirt’d guy in the last post.

I recently became the proud owner of a Mamiya 645 pro TL medium format camera. It’s incredible and is monopolizing all my time shooting lately. These are from the first three rolls of color I shot. The knuckleheads at the color lab cropped them wrong, so once I track down a negative scanner, I’ll have updated, full frame negative scans of the images. Can’t Wait!
